Mark came for a visit!

Mark came to our house on Monday. His therapist came and checked our house to see what we need to do to get it ready for Mark to come home. We are hoping he will be able to come home mid Dec. It was a great day!

Our first family picture!

With the new rule at the hospital that 14 years old and under can not come in and visit, we have had a very sad house. But this last Thursday we made plans to have them bring Mark outside so we could visit. It was kind of cold so they let us come in to a side room. It was great to have the whole family together for a little while. This is our families first picture together. We didn't have one taken before Mark got sick. (Gabe was only one week old.)

Mark talking!

Mark hasn't been able to talk for the last three weeks. So to hear his voice was wonderful!

"Just the second day of talking. I just want to thank everybody who’s prayed for me, helped support my family, watching my kids & wife, scarified their time to go to the hospital to be with me, so I am not a lone. This is such a frustrating process but I can’t do it alone. And luckily I have wonderful people like you that I can lean on for support and also our Heavenly Father in some great experience and blessing in my life. I’m seeing things from a different outlook and hope that I can be a better person like all of you have shown me what you are. Thank you for showing me your support and don’t forget about me, because this is still a long hall that I have to go through. But I do know of you prayers and I can feel when there is a fast and prayer. I’m grateful for all of you and love you very much."

Update on Mark

Last Tuesday Mark started not feeling well. He said that his body ached and his hands and feet tingled. So on Wed. he went to the Dr. he thought he might have Swine Flu. One of his business partners had it a few weeks ago, so he thought it was a possibility. But he didn't. I ended up taking him to the ER on Friday night, because he was getting so bad that he could barely walk. They did alot of test and decided that he has Guillan-Barre. (You'll have to google it!)Most likely Mark will be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks. He will then have months and months of recovery. The Dr's say that they "think" he will be 100% in about a year. Today Mark had a tracheotomy to help him with his breathing. He will be in ICU for probably the next 4 to 5 days to monitor him on the meds he's taking, and to continue to watch his breathing. After that, hopefully he can be moved out of ICU. He is able to nod his head when we asked questions, and even seemed to be excited that the members of the bishopric came or really any of his friends for that matter. We had the kids record him messages, and he seemed to like that as well. It's just a waiting game...it's going to get worse before it gets better. All they can do is try and keep him comfortable, and wait for it to run it's course. Thank you for all the help, love and prayer. They mean so much to us!

Take a look at our new little guy!

Our Bishop owns a Fetalphoto and got a new machine and asked me if I would come in and let them try it out on me. It was so fun to see this guy and know that he is looking health!

It's amazing what can be done these days. It will be fun to see if he lookes the same when he comes out!

Summer!!!

For only having two weeks of summer so far we have sure been busy! Miles had his birthday party on the last day of school. He was so excited to have his friends over and do fireworks with them!!

I thought it was a little scary but it turned out fine!

Happy 8th Birthday MILES!!!!

Of course we hit a parade and got a lot of candy!

Spencer was there with his family. It was great to see them.

McKaylee came with us.

The boys waiting in the heat. It was sure hot!

Luke was waiting and welling

Fireworks were all weekend with Miles birthday party and the holiday. But in the end the kids loved playing in the fire!

Splash pad! Great way to beat the heat!

It was a great place. There was a playground and field right there too so if you wanted to do something else for a little bit you could.

We went with Grandma Spencer, Unlce Chris and Zoey. It was a lot of fun!

My cousin Corinne came over to play. She entertained the kids for hours.

We got a bit messy, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up with some water.

We are grateful that Corinne was able to come and play with us we had such a great time.

Miles was baptized this last weekend. We are so happy for him and his decision. He is sure growing up fast.

We Love You Miles!!!
